seriously, i think that clown is following us
i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out to the acadia last night. special thanks to ted, jeremy, andre, larz, and especially my wonderful ladyfriend vanessa, who set the whole think up. it really was a lot of fun just hanging out and playing with friends. i hope to see you all soon. cheers.
eanie, meanie, miney, mo, watch the workday slowly go...
i had a blast playing last night at jeremy and zach's recital over at ncu. thanks to everyone who came out. it had been quite awhile since i hauled the marshall out of the cryogenic chamber and melted some faces. random change of subject- i was hanging out with harmony the other day and i thought it would be very interesting to do my own version of mtv's cribs. if people actually saw how local musicians lived they would be shocked, appalled and most likely grossed out. final note- i'm playing a show at the acadia cafe on thursday and the word on the street is that it's going to be incredible. okay, honestly, i don't think anyone on the street even knows what's going on, but i think it should be cool, so show up.
headache the size of the ukraine
so i played a house party last night. never done it before, but i was really pumped about it. thanks to everyone that showed up- it was really encouraging and i had a blast. i got all kinds of feedback ("you play that little keyboard like you're petting a cat") and loads of affirmation. anyway, it was a lot of fun. i unfortunately woke up with gargantuan headache this morning. it took 4 hours before it started to relent. youch.
look daddy! the talking heads!
well, i managed to avoid watching at least the last two presidential debates. good for me. i'm just counting the days until all the spin and bs stops. honestly, i don't know how anyone could believe what either candidate is saying because they speak mainly in exaggerations and half-truths. i suppose the ideal way to form an opinion is to get information from as many places as possible and then make up your own mind. however, then you would be left formulating your opinion from your own experiences which shape and taint us. so are you really making up your own mind or have you already been manipulated to think a certain way by those already in power? depending on the day you ask me, i don't even think that free will can exist. or if it exists, then it must be almost completely smothered by culture and environment. whatever. make up your own mind.
huckawhat?
just finished up a new track- pulling down the stars. check it out in the tunes section. also, i've got a couple of shows coming up pretty soon. looking forward to seeing everyone. oh, everyone go see that huckabees movie. it's great. witness the glory of genius jon brion.
