nerd alert!
for those of you who don't know, i have a job that involves me just surfing the internet (i hate that phrase) for long periods of time. i thought i would take this opportunity to share some of my points of interest- think of it as a guided tour of the web.

www.craigslist.org - the best things on the net are the home-grown, non-profit ones. this is great for finding, well, anything you need. i bought a trumpet off here for 50 bucks! can't beat it. read the personals.

www.wikipedia.org - they have an entry for everything here and it's constantly being uploaded to and reviewed.

www.earth.google.com - i'm an addict. you can view THE ENTIRE EARTH with this program. i can now explore the far reaches of our planet from my little computer screen

http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/thecurrent/ - greatest....radio....station....ever....

http://www.howwastheshow.com/index.html
- this is the place to go for great local music news.

oh, i went to a show at the uptown bar a couple of nights ago that was just great. i saw a duo called "beatrix jar". anyway, you can check them out at www.hypercreatives.com.

i'm sure i've forgotten a ton of cool places, but whatever.

Jeremy

P.S. - feel free to post your own sites of interest.

A few of my daily reads:

Tech Support Comedy

Ctrl-Alt-Del: my favorite webcomic at the moment

Penny Arcade (of course)

Boing Boing (of course)

Slashdot (of course)

I'm sure those last ones go without saying.

Oh, and Twin Cities Free Market

brilliant. for those of you who are not computer savvy- this is a fantastic collection of links. i would recommend you check out penny arcade. if you can't understand anything, just keep going- you'll get educated eventually.

slashdot has been my home page for the last 4 years at least. well, until i figured out that google lets you customize your own portal.

thank you, pikapikachick. as always your taste is impeccable.

How about this one??
